President Obama, and the people around him, are probably the best players of the media game ever to occupy the White House: Numerous news conferences, email blasts, YouTube videos, etc.

So, it is somewhat amusing when the ultimate media president finds himself taking aim at —–the media for, in his view, their emphasis on those protesting his proposed health care reforms.

Says the prez, “TV loves a ruckus…What you haven’t seen on TV and what makes me proud are the many constructive meetings going on all over the country.”

I’m sure it is true that there are many constructive meetings going on all over the country, but what Obama is missing is that the media has not only covered the protests at various Town Hall type gatherings, but has also tried to look beyond that to find out who is really behind many of these seemingly genuine local demonstrations.

Besides, if the President is so concerned about the way the media is handling  coverage of this important story, it is not as if he lacks the resources and skills to go on an effective offensive.

If his message is not getting through the bull and clutter, perhaps he needs to refine his message and communicate it a whole lot better?
