That's right-the people that CAN afford insurance. Government sponsored simply means that those who aren't on welfare or can't afford it will get it paid for by tax payers-you and me. It doesn't have anything to do with the government actually providing it. The people are the government. The people who work hard for what they have will end up paying taxes and paying our own health insurance as well as everyone else's. I don't believe that it's a bad thing to boulster each other, but it doesn't sit well with me to be paying a bunch of extra money to cover the health care costs of others who are NOT working hard to try and get their own coverage. I know it's very hard for some people and they ARE working hard to get it, but i'm talking about those who are living of "the government" without trying to work to get out of it.
