The economy may be falling apart; people being tossed from jobs;tent cities going up across America, but a big topic for discussion in Washington is apparently over whether the new Obama dog, Bo, really is a rescued dog? The president had earlier pledged he would “save” a dog from a shelter.
But, says the A.P., Bo’s very own breeder does not consider the 6 month old Portuguese water dog a “shelter” dog.
Seems when things didn’t work out with its first owners, the dog was shipped back to the breeder, then to the trainer of Sen. Ted Kennedy’s very own PWD and then given as a gift from the Kennedy’s to the Obama kids.
In other words, Bo was never in need of being saved!
That, in and of itself, makes Bo unique among all Americans, human and otherwise!
