CNBC isn’t really an all business news cable television network. It’s an all comedy channel and the “experts” it presents to its viewers are the jokers.
In a wonderful Salon.Com posting by Gabriel Winant, the writer pretty much rips Jim Cramer a new one.
He points out how small CNBC’s audience really is, but also how powerful!
And, yet, it is hard to image these lords of the universe actually taking this channel seriously?
As Winant points out rather well, people like Cramer–and others who “live” on CNBC–have been consistantly wrong in their predictions about the future of our economy.
But they linger on like vampires unwilling to go silently into that bat cave.
At a time such as this, the nation needs serious, hard hitting business news reporting. Sadly, it is not getting anything like that from CNBC.
