For years, we’ve been told that Wal-Mart, the biggest store in every universe known and unknown, could bring merchants to their knees, insisting on lower prices so it could sell discounted goods to its mostly blue-collar customers.

But Apple Computer apparently has that licked.

Wal-Mart has announced it will start selling the iPhone Sunday.

However, contrary to numerous reports that it would offer it at a cheaper price –it will not.

Wal-Mart plans on selling the 8 G model for $197 and the 16 G model for $297—exclusive of the 2 year AT&T slave contract you are forced to buy in order to use the stupid thing!
