Thank God it is finally over—all the speculation about whether he would or she would or he wouldn’t or she couldn’t . Done deal now. Hillary and Bill are here to stay!

Yeah, I know that Barack Obama only nominated Hillary Clinton for a post in his cabinet, but we’ve always known that she comes to the table as a set.

Of course, at the news conference announcing his picks, Obama sort of (well, okay, he did) dodge those nit picky type questions like–how come Hillary is all of a sudden a grand old gal when during the campaign he practically accused her of single handily dragging the U.S. into the Iraqi war? And, how is he really going to get along with her?

We’ll have to leave it to one of those Bob Woodward books to tell us all the back story on this. I am certain it will be more interesting than the front story.

So, in the end, we ended up with the same three people (different positions, of course, but the same three people) we always assumed we’d end up with…Barack, Hillary and—Bill!

Had Hillary been elected president, know what? We’d end up with Barack, Hillary and—Bill!

It does help to have a sense of humor if you want to be in politics in this country.
