While Americans are buzzing about their new first family, a grave from 4,600 years ago gives new meaning to the phrase, first family.
Scientists reportedly believe the grave–with the remains of a mother, father and their two sons–is the first genetic evidence of what nowadays is called a nuclear family.
The amazing discovery is detailed in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
The grave is in what is now Germany.
