Thank God Bush says “we will do what it takes” to ease the current financial crisis spooking the entire planet. Had he not said that, I really would start worrying.
This is by one account the 21st time the big Bush has spoken out on this topic in 26 days. By now, you’d think he would have something a bit more useful to contribute to the discussion, especially since he met today in Washington with the financial officials representing the G-7, Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Canada and Japan (and us, of course.)
But wouldn’t it be helpful at this stage of the game to not stand on ceremony and maybe bring into the fold Russia and China and maybe even India? They are all having financial “issues” now and all will win or loose along with the rest of us depending on what solutions are applied to this total mess…the worst since the Great Depression of the 1930s.
The roller coaster ride we all were on last week is likely to continue this coming week and you are a rider whether you have purchased a ticket or not.
Hang in, keep your arms beneath the bar, and keep that vomit bag handy.
