This time, it will happen.

First the U.S. Senate and then the House of Representatives this week will no doubt end up voting in favor of a $700 billion dollar scheme to bailout banks,bankers and brokers, while stealing thousands of dollars out of the pockets of each and every American family to pay for this folly.

Politicians are spooked…damned if they do and damned if they don’t.  And, when politicians get spooked, you can just about always count on them to do the wrong thing.  This is one of those times!

I don’t buy for a minute the world will come to an end if the Congress fails to pass this legislation.  In fact, the fat-cats who support this should in and of itself raise serious questions about who will really gain from this bailout for the rich? (If you answered, the rich!, move to the front of the class.)

There is all this nonsense that, someday, the government will be able to sell the stuff it will be buying with our money at a profit.  Maybe? But don’t you think that by then, some excuse will be found to make sure that money never finds its way back into your pocketbook again?

Meantime, where is the true emegrency relief for the thousands who have lost or who are about to loose their homes because of mortgages they can no longer afford to pay? Of course there really isn’t such relief. That is NOT what this pariticular bailout is about.

Forget all that crap about a bill that will be as good for Main Street as it is for Wall Street. Total nonsense.

Make no mistake about this…this is a bailout for the rich and infamous. That simple.
