Obama Picks Biden–Goes Back In Time

So much for being the candidate of change.
Barack Obama, says the New York Times, has selected Senator Joseph Biden as his running mate, a Washington insider the type of which Obama had claimed he wanted to avoid in his administration of “change.”
And, if that doesn’t make Obama look like a hypocrite consider this: Biden of Delaware was one of those senators…like Hillary Clinton…who initially voted to authorize Bush’s war in Iraq!
Didn’t Obama say that Clinton showed bad judgment because she had voted the way she did? So, it will be interesting to see how Obama justifies a man whose judgment, in his view, must be questionable, to be his veep?
But , of course, Obama will have no trouble at all explaining his selection-because he is, after all, just another politician, no better and no worse than all the others. He just tried to convince people –and has to a large measure–that he is the un-politician.
Here’s something embarrassing
And, while Sen. Obama tries to back peddle on the whole Iraqi war vote thing, perhaps he can explain how a man who only a year ago said that he, Obama, was “not yet ready” to be president, can now be a comfortable fit with him on the same ticket?
This should all prove very interesting.

Obama’s change of position on several matters key to his core base following his declaration as the presumptive nominee was a precursor to this running mate selection.
It’s not about living up to his ideals. It’s about getting elected.
As you point out Charles, he’s a politician. And he’s acting like one.
Every single one of those people in office are just that…. PEOPLE. We hold them so accountable for their words spoken.
I do want to read more before making a decision on whether or not Biden is good for the wing man position. Maybe he is? Maybe he isn’t.
Great viewpoints there in the post!
