Denver is screwing it up even before it has started–which is an impressive thing to do!

by oneofthemWhen the Democrats come to town August 25-28 for their convention, protesters will be so far away from the delegates they may as well be protesting in China, except they wouldn’t be able to do that there, either. Nice, China and Denver sleeping in the same bed.

U.S. District Judge Marcia Krieger–if you send her nasty emails and letters, make sure you spell her name correctly or she just may banish you to Cuba–while agreeing that her ruling will infringe on freedom of expression, has nevertheless decided that protesters will be kept behind restricted fences in special zones as well as along a parade route.

Of course, this is all being done in the name of…what else…security!!

The Very Un-American Judge Kreiger

This nitwit in black robes says in her ruling, “The restrictions inhibit the plaintiffs’ ability to engage in some forms of expressive conduct, (but)…the plaintiffs have a wide variety of alternative means of expression that will allow them to effectively communicate their messages.”

Let’s see, where have I read something like that before? I know, the Chinese said pretty much the same thing didn’t they about restricting protesters at the Summer Olympic Games? Maybe Judge Kreiger should take that slow boat to China and sit on the bench (street bench, that is) there.

The American Civil Liberties Union, among others, made the argument that where the city of Denver wants to place protesters would keep them too far from delegates.

This decision is a black stain on the city of Denver and the District Court there.
