New York Times Wrong Not To Publish McCain Op-Ed Article!

Here’s a short post for you: The New York Times is wrong to reject publishing an op-ed piece by Republican John McCain no matter how it tries to rationalize it. The decision stinks. Period.
Considering some of the garbage the Times has printed in its op-ed pages in the recent past, why not let McCain write what he wants to write? Especially since Barack Obama just had an op-ed piece of his published by the Times.
I know the Times says it has its reasons–but to give them space is to lend those reasons credibility when they are simply not credible….I’ll leave it to links to fill in some of the blanks on this matter.
Coming on the same week the three major television networks are sending their star anchors to follow around Obama on his Middle East and European trips (something they have never done with McCain) it sure does start looking like the media have made up their minds about or should be elected president, even if the voters have not as yet.

Thanks for the link!
Since the NYT is a private run newspaper, they should not publish McCain’s article. It was poorly written and basically an attack piece against Obama. The NYT should not be forced into running advertisements for McCain (which is what his “op-ed” amounted to) just because they already ran on an actual op-ed written by Obama. If that’s the stance we’re taking then I demand that every 3rd party candidate receive an op-ed in every mainstream newspaper in the USA, actually in any case I demand that the 3rd party and independent candidates receive the same media treatment as the two, that are actually one, candidates.
What a bunch of BS. The media could not possibly be more blatant in its preferance for Obama! It has now crossed over into intentional activism for one candidate over another. Media bias? How about just remaining ethical!
