Al Gore Backs Obama: Why He Is A Coward For Waiting This Long

For much of the primary season, a key question among Democrats–hell, among just about everyone–was which candidate would the ever popular Al Gore throw his support behind?
As it came down to the wire between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, the former vice-president’s voice could have made the difference one way or another.
Among some, the thought was that Gore was staying silent out of loyalty to the Clintons–which meant he actually knew he was going to back Obama.
Brave man or politician?
It is truly unfortunate that Gore opted to keep his thoughts to himself until today when he endorsed Obama saying that Obama united a movement over the past year and a half, says the Associated Press.
I can understand wanting to be careful, thoughtful, deliberate in deciding whom to back for president, but waiting until the contest was all over is hardly the act of a brave man. It is, however, the calculated act of a politician. In this case, it was what a coward would do.
Maybe it is a good thing he didn’t become president after all?
