A Not So Secret Obama/Clinton Meeting

It was one of those “secret” meetings no one was supposed to know about, only everyone apparently knows about because the people having the meeting clearly wanted everyone to know.

What did Hillary want? What did Obama offer or not  offer? What deals were struck?

These questions and more arise because of the meeting late Thursday between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton at an “undisclosed” location–which will no doubt shortly be disclosed.

Of course, the speculation is—did Obama offer Clinton the number two spot on the ticket?

He has said he plans on taking his time deciding whom to select.

She first said she’d accept the VP slot if asked, only now she is backing away from that saying it is all up to Obama and she is seeking nothing.

Right.  And John Edward’s hair is naturally that way.

The games people play

And, make no mistake about it, this is a game and it ain’t over just yet!

If Obama does pick Clinton, it has to appear as if he was not coerced by the Clinton camp and her supporters.

If he doesn’t pick Clinton, he has to offer her something to please her and, more important, the 18 million some odd people who voted for her.

Like I said, the game ain’t over yet.
