Barack Obama will NOT be the next President of the United States. That much I am certain of.  Whether the next occupant of the Oval Office will be Hillary Clinton or John McCain is a different question.

But, for now, let’s stick with Obama.

Today, he found himself denouncing the latest zany remarks from his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who, over the past several days, has made a total ass of himself by continuing his anti-American and plainly racist thunder.

“I am outraged by the comments that were made and saddened over the spectacle…” said Obama. “The person that I saw yesterday was not the person that I met 20 years ago. His comments were not only divisive and destructive, but I believe that they end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate.”

Finally, he’s got it

Yes, that is exactly right. Finally, Obama is telling it like it is. Problem is, he so clearly appears to be saying all the “right things” –as Rev. Wright has said–simply to get himself elected.

Keep in mind, it is not as if Obama just recently met Wright and is shocked by the radical preacher’s idiocy. He’s known him some 20 years and his daughters were baptized by Wright. Without Wright, in fact, one can make a very convincing argument that Barack Obama would not have come this far in politics.

So, it is ironic that the man who provided the gas Obama needed to run, has now slammed on the brakes ,probably ending any chance of Obama being elected President, even if he should win the Democratic Party nomination–which, itself, seems iffy right about now.

Boxed Into A Corner

For Obama, this is the worst of all possible worlds: Not only are many white voters increasingly concerned about voting for him, but many black voters are likely to view Obama’s denouncing of Wright as a supreme act of betrayal of a close and dear friend.

The fact is, Obama can’t be trusted..at least not as yet. He doesn’t deserve to be elected President and shouldn’t be.
