If there is anything worse for Barack Obama than the bigoted and anti-American sermons preached by his mentor and minister, the Rev.Jeremiah Wright, it is probably the fact that Wright can’t seem to keep his big (bigoted?) mouth shut, thus raising even more troubling questions about Obama’s unwillingness to totally disown the asshole.

During an appearance today at the National Press Club in Washington, according to a Reuters account, Wright refused to back away from controversial and stupid remarks practically blaming the United States for 9/11.

“You cannot do terrorism on other people and not expect it to come back to you,” said Wright.

Asked about previous pronouncements that the U.S. government was responsible for creating the virus that causes AIDS in order to kill black people, Wright, today, said, ” Based on what has happened to Africans in this country, I believe our government is capable of doing anything.”

Time for Obama To Toss The Nut-job

It is not good enough for Obama, at this point, to simply say he does not agree with the things Wright says. It is time for Obama to do what he should have done long ago–cut the nutty Rev. loose and bid him farewell……for good!

Clinton Gaining; Obama Falling Behind

Perhaps this is one way to explain the latest Associated Press-Ipsos poll which shows Hillary Clinton now ahead of Republican John McCain by 9 points in a head to head presidential general election. The same polls shows a virtual tie between Obama and McCain.

This bolsters Clinton’s argument to the so-called super-delegates that , come November, she is far more electable than is Obama.
