Sen. Hillary Clinton is calling on President Bush to boycott the Beijing Olympics opening ceremonies this summer…she says Bush should take this action unless China improves its record on human rights.
Among other things, Reuters reports, Clinton cited the unrest and violence in Tibet as reasons why she thinks the president should not attend the ceremonies.
China is placing great propaganda value on the Olympics, but, so far, the Tibet situation has backfired opening China to scorn from most Western nations.
With the 2008 Democratic presidential race still going on and on and on, it should come as little surprise that the presidential candidates would weigh in on this controversial subject.
