Is The Associated Press Reporter In “Love” With Barack Obama? Penn State Rally Makes Her Swoon

The A.P.’s Devlin Barrett is practically enthralled with Barack Obama judging from the nonsense she has pumped out while on the campaign trial covering a Penn State rally for the Democratic Presidential hopeful.

She first reports on the “20,000 people” who filled the campus lawn to see their rock-star, though such crowd estimates are highly unreliable. In fact, many major police departments long ago stopped giving out crowd estimates for that very reason.

But, Devlin seems to know.

Bowling

Devlin’s gushing prose soon turns to more important stuff hot off the campaign tour…

She reports on Obama going bowling, even pitting himself against “several small children.”

Devlin goes on in great detail about how “Obama’s first ball flew off his hand but ended up in the gutter. On his second try, he knocked down four pins,” she writes.  Good God. Is this what passes for political journalism nowadays???

Oh, but Devlin is far from through..she chronicles Obama’s alleged improvement “nearly getting a strike in one frame and in the seventh picking up a spare, giving him a score of 37.

She quotes Obama saying, “I was terrible.”  In fact, it is Devlin’s reporting that is terrible. No wonder the American public is so badly informed.

Milking it for everything she can get

Devlin also brings us up close and personal with Obama at a dairy farm where he “fed a slurping one month cafe, laughing as the calf sucked hard on the nipple of the bottle…”

“She chowed that sucker down,” Devlin quotes Obama saying.

What crap. What nonsense. What trivia. What bullshit. What reporting. Actually, yes, that is the question here–What reporting???
