On the day when Christ was, according to Christian doctrine, resurrected, and the Easter bunny is laying those nasty chocolate eggs on everyone’s lawn, what better time to totally piss off an entire religion? Apparently, Pope Benedict felt this was actually a pretty good time.

So, shortly before the Pope celebrated Easter Mass for a global audience, he baptized a well known Italian Muslim convert! Who’s the Pope’s public relation’s specialist, Satan?
Fifty five year old Magdi Allam was born in Egypt and is both a journalist and known critic of Islamic extremism.
A new crusade?
Only days ago, everyone’s favorite terrorist, Osama bin Laden, accused the pope of helping to stage a “new crusade” against Islam.
Allam, writing in his own paper, says he knows his life may now be in danger, but says he does not regret his decision to become a Christian.
“…the root of evil is innate in an Islam that is physiologically violent and historically conflictual,” he writes.
Considering what is happening in the world at this time, you’d think the Holy See could have handled the timing of this one a bit better? Clearly, the church wanted the exposure of a well known and respected convert, but this could all come back to bite everyone’s rear end in the Vatican.
Now you know why God created public relations specialists!
