At first glance, a story about a woman in Kansas who allegedly was stuck to a toilet seat for two years would appear to share nothing in common with Sen. Barack Obama and his campaign for president. But, in a way , they do have a common bond: The willingness of many Americans to believe just about anything no matter how silly, stupid, or improbable it may sound. Let me explain:
The other day, a “news” story appeared on the Associated Press wire about a woman in Kansas who was literally stuck to her boyfriend’s toilet seat for two solid years–so long, reported the A.P. that the skin from her butt actually grew around the seat making it impossible for her to get up and leave the bathroom.
Clearly, the A.P., which has many talented and experienced reporters around the globe, employs a moron in Kansas.
A 2 year old could have figured out that the story smelled to high heaven and not because the woman allegedly sat on the bowel for two seasons of American Idol!
But, the story was picked up and reported by most of the major and not so major news organizations and because it came from the well respected Associated Press, people believed it, or wanted to.
It took about 24 hours, though, for the real story to emerge.
Of course the woman was not “stuck” on the toilet seat for two years. The county sheriff there said maybe one month at most, maybe.
But, her “boyfriend” reported that, actually, she wasn’t even stuck…she just didn’t want to leave the bathroom, for some weird reason.
No doubt this is a strange couple, but no where near as strange as news organizations and people wanted to believe.
Okay, so what does this have to do with Barack Obama?
Plenty.
Like the toilet story, many Americans want to believe the nonsense–dare I say it, crap!–that the opportunist from Chicago is feeding them: That he is different from the other politicians; that he does not practice politics the old way; that he is about change; that he is about hope!
Bull crap. He’s about Barack Obama getting elected and he will tell you what you want to hear and many, clearly, are eating it up. Might as well sit on a toilet for two years.
Barack and his nutty pastor friend and supporter
Barack Obama, as the Wall Street Journal’s Ronald Kessler reports today in his opinion piece, has been shoveling the s–t about his connection with the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.,who was the long time pastor at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
Although Obama, the candidate, likes to put distance between himself and Wright, suggesting that they were never all that close to begin with, the fact is, as the WSJ reports, as have others, that Wright is Obama’s “longtime minister, friend and adviser.”
He is also a lunatic.
In sermons at the church, he “blamed America for starting the AIDS virus, training professional killers, importing drugs and creating a racist society that would never elect a black candidate president.”
“Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run,” he said in a sermon in 2006…sermons that Obama would attend on a regular basis.
“America is still the No. 1 killer in the world,” he said.
America “supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians,” he said.
“We are only able to maintain our level of living by making sure that Third World people live in grinding poverty,” he said.
“We started the AIDS virus,” he said.
“We put Nelson Mandela in prison,” he said.
“We believe in white supremacy,” he said.
Obama Stuck On Toilet Seat For Two Years
You want to believe that one? Go ahead. But it is as untrue as Obama’s assertions that he he doesn’t really agree with the jackass things his bud Wright has said. If he didn’t, he could have easily walked out of Wright’s church and find another. Plenty in the Windy City.
Was that Kansas woman stuck to a toilet for two years? Of course not.
Is Obama not really as close to Wright and his positions as he claims? Of course not.
Want to believe a woman’s butt skin could grow around a toilet seat binding her to it? Go right ahead.
Want to believe that Barack Obama doesn’t embrace much, if not all ,of what the very wrong Rev. Wright preaches? Go right ahead.
Just do us all a favor, would you. Please don’t vote. You’re too gullible to be trusted with electing a President of the United States!
