Fact: Right after getting elected to the U.S. Senate, Obama spent most of his time promoting his book and himself instead of representing the people who voted for him. He even joked in 2006 at a dinner: “I’ve been very blessed. Keynote speaker at the Democratic convention. The cover of Newsweek. My book made the best seller list. I just won a Grammy for reading it on tape. Really, what else is there to do? Well, I guess I could pass a law or something?”

Fact: “He was cautious even on the Iraq war, which he had opposed as a Senate candidate,” says the Times. “He voted against the withdrawal of troops and proposed legislation calling for a drawdown only AFTER he was running for president and polls showed voters favoring it.”

Fact: “Mr. Obama wanted to vote to confirm John G. Roberts Jr. for the Supreme Court,” but didn’t only after being warned that it would link Obama to every conservative vote the high court would make.

Fact: “When some senators spent hours in closed-door meetings over immigration reform in early 2007, he dropped in only occasionally, prompting complaints that he was something of a dilettante.”

Fact : Obama first agreed to compromise legislation only to then distance himself from it after caving to interest groups. “He folded like a cheap suit,” said Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, according to the Times report.

Fact: “…while he rightly takes credit for steering through an ethics overhaul that reformers called a ‘gold standard,’ like most freshmen he did not play a significant role in passing much other legislation and disappointed some Democrats for not becoming a more prominent voice in other important debates.”

Fact: Barack Obama is NOT what some think he is or what he wants you to think he is!

    Hey Angel. How is it propaganda? The BBC has a record of her saying that Obama wouldn’t do what he said he’s do. How would you spin it?
