What has this country done to deserve George W. Bush as its President? Are we being punished in some way by having the most dangerous president in U.S. history in the White House?

BushIt certainly seems that way, doesn’t it?

What does it say about a nation that impeaches a president for getting a blow job in the Oval Office, but gives a free pass to a president who has perverted our criminal justice system, made a mockery of the legislative and judicial branches of government, subverted the civil rights of American citizens, made us loathed by even our closest allies, and who has now gone on record as putting the presidential stamp of approval on the use of torture!

Considering that Bush was, by his own admission, a former abuser of both alcohol and drugs, one might chalk all this up to the possibility that his brains are just fried.

But, I don’t think so. He is certainly not a stupid man, no matter what some critics say. But, he is ,perhaps, the most unsuited person ever to be elected President of the United States.

Vetoes Bill On C.I.A Tactics

Bush and his evil “older brother”–the vice-president–have this theory of broad executive power and have spent the past two terms in office trying to firmly establish it. So far, they are succeeding.

No matter what Congress passes, Bush is sure to sign an executive letter saying he is not bound to follow the law!

Didn’t they used to call that being a “criminal?”

And, now, Bush is in clear violation of international law and treaty.

He vetoed a Congressional effort that would have prevented the C.I.A. from torturing people in the name of fighting terrorism.

Says Bush: “Because the danger remains, we need to ensure our intelligence officials have all the tools they need to stop the terrorists.”

What total nonsense.

The military and F.B.I have told Bush that torture does not work–people will say anything. And, besides, it makes it far easier for other countries to justify using the very same techniques –or worse–against captured U.S. military or civilian personnel.

When his term is over, someone better make sure he gives up all his keys to the White House and change all the locks. Too much of a risk he’ll try to return–especially if he gets invited in by John McCain, should he get elected in November.

Historians sometimes argue that countries often get the leadership they deserve…but, what has this country done to deserve the likes of George W. Bush?
