Barack Obama has done again what Barack Obama does best: win caucuses, this time in Wyoming.
He also seemed to dampen speculation of a Clinton/Obama ticket by telling a Wyoming television reporter that he is running for President and not vice-president and pointing out he leads Clinton in pledged delegates and the popular vote, though Clinton has more of the popular vote if you factor in Florida and Michigan.
Another foot in his mouth?
Meantime, Obama appears to have been caught in yet another case of speaking out of both sides of his mouth.
You’ll recall that after a Canadian TV network revealed that an Obama advisor was telling Canadian officials to ignore the candidate’s harsh comments on the North American Free Trade Agreement because it was just political talk, it turned out that that is exactly what had happened even though Obama claims he had no knowledge of this and, at first, denied it even happened.
In this latest controversy, Samantha Power, who just resigned (fired) as a top Obama foreign policy advisor for telling a newspaper that Clinton is a monster, apparently told the BBC that if elected President, Obama “would not necessarily follow through on the plan of withdrawing from Iraq that he had presented as a candidate,” according to the New York Times.
This from the guy who makes such a big deal about being right about Iraq all along, by being against the invasion even though he was not then in a position of power to vote for or against it anyway.
