Let’s be blunt. Barack Obama, the politician who dares to be “different,” who says he is about “change,” who argues that the way the political “game” is played needs to be cleaned up, is a liar. Pure and simple. And, it was Canada, ironically, that tripped him up.

Last week, the Canadian television network,CTV, reported that despite Obama’s harsh words against the North American Free Trade Agreement, NAFTA, which many Americans don’t like and most Canadians do, a top aide was secretly telling Canadian officials that Obama didn’t really mean all that nasty stuff he was saying in the Ohio debate with Hillary Clinton.

In other words, he was just faking it during the debate to win over voters in Ohio knowing full well he has no intention of doing away with the treaty should he get elected president.

The CTV report said that an official in the Obama camp had phoned the Canadian ambassador in D.C. to tell him that the anti-NAFTA rhetoric was just that, empty political words.

Obama quickly denied it. Nope, he said, no such thing ever happened.

Know what. He was telling the truth. About that!

But, Obama was NOT telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth!

Yesterday, the Associated Press got its hands on a memo that, according to a New York Times account today, shows that “Austan Goolsbee, a professor of economics at the University of Chicago who is Mr. Obama’s senior economic policy advisor, met officials last month at the Canadian consulate in Chicago.”

The memo, from a political and economic affairs consular officer, according to the Times, says that “Professor Goolsbee assured them that Mr. Obama’s protectionist stand on the trail was ‘more reflective of political maneuvering than policy.’”

In other words, Obama was splitting hairs in his denial. Sure, no one from his camp met with the Canadians in Washington, they met with the Canadians in Chicago, Obama’s home town.

And, ABC News has now reported that the NAFTA discussion involved the Canadian consul general in that city, Georges Rioux.

Think hard about this one. He is a fake. He is a fraud. He is no different than many other politicians. He is a cult figure. He is an opportunist. He is Barack Obama.
