Barack Obama’s protest that he really, truly, honestly, sincerely, no kidding, scout’s honor, is not and never has been a Muslim is starting to sound a little sick.

Why would any Muslim in the U.S. want to vote for a candidate who is going out of his way to make sure the world (American voters) knows he is not Muslim, as if that would be so horrible?

I mean, plenty of African-Americans are Muslim. Why should they vote for Obama when he sounds almost as if he is ashamed of any possible Muslim affiliation or family involvement with that religion?

Appearing in Ohio today, according to the Associated Press, Obama said : “I am a devout Christian. I have been a member of the same church for 20 years. I pray to Jesus every night!”

Well, good for him.

But, first of all, that he prays to Jesus every night or not, what does this have to do with running for President of the United States? No where in the Constitution does it mandate that one has to be Christian to get elected president.

The more interesting thing,though, is his complusion to let everyone know that he is a Christian and not a Muslim.

Something REALLY wrong about that.
