Why Does Obama NEED To Buy The Ohio & Texas Primaries To Get Nomination?

If Barack Obama is really such a new type of candidate, someone who claims to want to turn his back on the old way of doing things in politics, then why is he trying to buy his way to victory in Texas and Ohio this week?

By all estimates, he is outspending Hillary Clinton in television ads in each state.

The quick answer is, hey, it’s the way the game is played and, if you want to get out your message, you must advertise on television, which is very expensive and at the root of our corrupt election system.

Can Be Different

But, if you look at Republican John McCain you can see that things don’t have to unfold that way and it is not just about money.

Mitt Romney outspent McCain at every turn, mainly because McCain lacked funds.

Well, we all know what happened. People saw through Mitt’s plastic, flip-flopping facade and rejected him, all but handing the GOP nomination to John McCain.

There is no reason why Obama, if his message is really catching fire, can’t reject the “spend all you have” model and opt for a more economically reasonable campaign.

Or, does he have what it really takes to be a “new type” of politician?

Doubt it.
