The Obama-Clinton Nomination Battle Reduced To A Telephone Call?

This coming week is Hillary Clinton’s last stand. She says she’ll fight right till the Denver convention should she get beaten in Texas and Ohio by Barack Obama; but, I suspect she won’t and close ranks for Democratic Party unity.

According to one late poll–Reuters/C-SPAN/Houston Chronicle, Obama now holds a slight lead in the Lone Star state–48 percent to 42—and is still trailing Clinton in Ohio 44 to 42 percent.

Will You Pick Up The Phone Already!

atomic bomb posterThe two candidates have unleashed national security ads.

Clinton’s ad talks about the dangers of the world in which we live and says during a crisis, when the phone rings in the White House, “your vote will decide who answers that call.”

Obama was quick to respond…his ad saying that when that White House phone rings during an emergency and the President answers, “shouldn’t the president be the one, the only one, who had judgement and courage to oppose the Iraq war from the start.?

Jesus, Obama (one and the same???) can you stop patting yourself on the back for being against the Iraqi invasion. You were not in a position of power at the time to impact such a decision one way or the other. Give it a rest.

But, as I was saying, I think we are nearing the end of the Clinton candidacy unless she wins big in Texas and Ohio next week and nothing seems to indicate that will happen.

Excuse me now, the phone is ringing.
