Obama Now Compared To Abraham Lincoln In NYTimes/CBS Poll

This is going waaaaaaaaaaaay too far, folks!  Really it is. That the names Barack Obama and Abraham Lincoln would appear virtually side-by-side in the same written paragraph is enough to set the gag reflex to the highest level, gushing out vomit for 40 days and 40 nights.

For months, we kept hearing about how Barack Obama reminds people of J.F.K., even though the two couldn’t be more different from one another.

But, the latest New York Times/CBS News poll shows that Obama is picking up support across a wide patch of Democrats nationwide, and carries a quote from a man interviewed right after voting who made the Obama-Lincoln comparision.

The guy about to do the talking is 53 year old laborer from North Carolina. Says he: “He’s (Obama) from Illinois, and I’m from Illinois, and, he reminds me of Abraham Lincoln. I can see him out there splitting rails.”

Just what America needs in 2008, a president who knows how to split rails!

Have we gone mad? How can anyone think Barack Obama reminds them of Abe Lincoln? Maybe of Jesus? But,  not Lincoln.
