How’s THIS for Pentagon double-speak: Come July, AFTER the U.S. plans a “drawdown” of troops in Iraq, the Pentagon today said, about 140,000 troops will stay.
Here’s where it gets good….that means there will actually be MORE troops in Iraq than when President Bush began the so-called “surge.”
How many more? About 8,000 apparently.
This is something that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama need to address publicly and urgently
.By keeping so many troops in Iraq after the “drawdown,” Bush is making it more difficult for either Clinton or Obama to get the troops out of Iraq ASAP!
This is one issue where there should be no division and where, for the good of the country, the two Democratic presidential nomination contenders need to speak to the administration with one, clear voice.
