Can McCain Get It Up Enough To Beat Obama? The Vicki Iseman “Affair” Makes Print

Can the presidential nominating process really be coming down to this: A choice between God’s second son, Barack Obama, and a 71 year old Senator (that would be John McCain) who may or may not have had a fling with a female lobbyist who is 31 years younger than he?

Looks like it.

The “scandal” of the day is the New York Times story that McCain, in his last presidential bid, had the “company” —a lot—of a young, good looking lobbyist who represented industries that would come before the very Senate committee McCain chaired at the time.

Though the Times doesn’t exactly say the relationship was a romantic or sexual one, there is a strong implication that McCain’s aides certainly feared so…enough to warn the woman, Vicki Iseman, to stay away from the senator.

This is not good news for McCain now–especially since he will probably be running against a nearly biblical figure in the general election come November.

And still, even if it turns out that McCain was a penetrating presence in Ms. Iseman’s life, he still would make a better president than Chairman Obama.

Let’s be frank and adult about this–U.S. presidents have a long history of having affairs (even George Washington wasn’t always alone while sleeping in all those beds he allegedly slept in); we’re used to it by now.

But, Obama is not only a candidate of a different color, he’s also a horse of a different color: A cult-like figure who has the potential to become one of the more dangerous occupants of the Oval Office since…since……well…since George W.  And, he may be even more dangerous.

America has never seen a presidential candidate like Obama…and I’m not talking about the fact he’s an African-American.

God’s son vs. The Viagra Kid

Obama seems to have a God-complex–he thinks of his candidacy as a “movement”-he talks about voters “believing”-he, like religion, requires a leap of faith because he is not able to supply details about his crusade for “change.”

So, when you look at it that way, is an old-geezer President getting a little action on the side really worse?

Besides, if need be, McCain can ask Obama for absolution; miracles do happen.
