Isn’t it time to stop paying attention to public opinion polls–especially when it comes to predicting the results of elections?

I know polling is big business and news organizations love to use them to try and show they are smarter than the next guy.

But, look at what just happened in California in the Democratic presidential primary–

As we got closer to February 5th, various polls either showed that the race between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama had tightened or that Obama would actually win the state.

Problem is, it didn’t shake out that way at all…..not even close.

How about trying something novel–how about having an election and actually just waiting till we know the real results and not imaginary ones?
