It looks increasingly likely that the battle for the Democratic Party presidential nomination will, like the Iraq war, continue on, perhaps months after tomorrow’s Super Tuesday virtual nationwide election.
Regardless of who gets the popular vote win or the delegate win tomorrow when 22 states jump in the fire, it seems doubtful that either Obama or Clinton will have a lock on the nomination.
So, this could, then, be determined by the states still to hold nominating contests after February 5th, or, for more fun, at the actual Denver convention where so-called Super delegates will then play a major role in a brokered convention.
My guess is,though, that the party will not let this happen and screw up its chance to recapture the White House from the Republicans.
That means deals will be made before the convention. And deals often come back to haunt the people who make them years later.
