We are down to the wire…for both the Republicans and Democrats as we near SuperTuesday (Hollywood is already working on a sequel, SuperWednesday) when just about half of the country will be helping select a presidential nominee for each major party.

Today, the stars were aligning for Sen. McCain with both “America’s Mayor”–Mr. 9/11 himself, Rudy Giuliani (his kids just call him, Mr. Giuliani); and, California Governor and former Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger giving McCain their backing.

On the Democratic side, California is the big prize next week…and, so far, polls favor Sen. Clinton over Sen. Obama…but we all know how accurate polls have been of late?

The country’s longest and most expensive presidential campaign still has months and months ahead till November. By then, most Americans will no doubt be sick of both the major candidates, no matter which ones they end up being.

This is going on way too long. And, there are former candidates, like John Edwards, who seem to be already planning the race for 2012.

Can’t we just wait for the DVD ?
