Media Seemingly Backs Obama Over Clinton In Democratic Race

by realjameso16Is there a media bias in favor of Sen. Barack Obama in his contest with Sen. Hillary Clinton for the Democratic party’s nomination for President?

Would appear so.

Even when Clinton wins-as she did in Nevada yesterday-the news media is quick to add that Obama actually ended up with one more delegate than she did even though she won the popular vote. That one delegate difference is disputed, by the way.

And, it seems as if the word “baggage”-as in, “she has a lot of baggage,” has become linked with Clinton’s name by many in the press. Seemingly at every opportunity, reporters, anchors, “experts,” will say that Sen. Clinton has a lot of baggage (her husband is usually named as the number one piece of luggage)and is a turnoff to many voters . That may well be, but what about Sen. Obama’s “baggage?”

What about his dealings in the past with a shady real estate guy in Chicago? What about his admitted cocaine use when in school? What about that when he did abuse drugs, by his own admission, the possible future President of the United States would have been responsible as a younger man for helping finance neighborhood pushers and international drug cartels? After all, the last time I checked, you can’t purchase cocaine at your friendly neighborhood 7 eleven! What about his trying to turn a comment made by Sen. Clinton into a full blown racial issue? What about his pronouncements that he is the candidate of change and is out to bring the nation together while at the same time running television ads in various states that are no different than any other candidate running for President in a rough and tumble battle for votes? What about his not being specific about what sort of change he wants to bring about and how he would go about doing it should he get elected?

This isn’t about backing one candidate over another on my part.

It’s about fairness.

Here that,CNN?
