Now Bush Screws Up In Pakistan,Too

Can this president do anything right? He screwed up the war on terrorism; he screwed up the war in Afghanistan; he screwed up the war in Iraq; and now, he’s screwed up with Pakistan…a nation that by its own admission actually does have weapons of mass destruction.

These nuclear babies were supposed to be under the safe care of President Pervez Musharraf. But, the good general has turned into a power hungry monster, declaring a state of emergency and now dispatching Pakistan’s police to use teargas and batons against attorneys protesting against him.

The problem with all this is, the general has about zero popular support in Pakistan…so ,a coup there could lead to extremists (yes, even more so than the general!) coming to power and having their hands on Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal.

Bush has spent lots of time since 9/11 supporting the general because he thought he was a true friend in the war against terrorism.

Instead, the general turned out to be a true friend of only himself and has plunged his nation into crisis, the outcome of which is uncertain.

So far, as many as 500 political opponents have been arrested as a “preventive” measure (sounds a bit like what the US is doing nowadays, doesn’t it?) and the country’s constitution has been suspended.

Way to go Bush!

What a screw up!
