Dead Man Talking-Gerald Ford From Beyond The Grave

by Charles Feldman on October 29, 2007

In death, Gerald Ford is saying far much more than he ever said in life, especially during his short stint as President of the United States.

According to a new bio just published, “Write it When I’m Gone”–Ford made the following comments to an author who promised not to publish them till after Ford died.

And, so he has!

On Dick Cheney, Ford thought that “The Bush” should have nixed Cheney from the ticket as his running mate because of Cheney’s reactionary views on the Iraqi war.

Ford told the writer that, “I couldn’t help but be sad about how ill-advised and just plain stupid he (Richard Nixon) was in the way he handled the cover-up.”

But, the best observation was about Bill Clinton when Ford said , “he didn’t miss one good looking skirt at any of the social occasions..he’s got a wandering eye…”

Who’d had thought that Ford was such a keen observer?
