This has got to be a first in recent times…or any times.

A candidate for President of the United States expressing a desire to give up some exectuive “powers” even prior to being elected…in fact, even prior to becoming THE candidate for the Democratic party.

But, Hillary Clinton says she would willingly give up some presidential powers if elected to counter what she says has been a “power grab” by President Bush.

According to a Reuters dispatch, Clinton , in an interview with a British newspaper said, “Well, I think it is clear that the power grab undertaken by the Bush-Cheney administration has gone much further than any other president and has been sustained far longer.”

The New York senator went on to tell The Guardian, “There were a lot of actions that they took (Bush-Cheney) that were clearly beyond any power the Congress would have granted or that in my view that was inherent in the Constitution.”
