CIA HEAD SUGGESTS REPORTERS ARE TRAITORS

The head of the CIA says the American news media are screwing up the government’s ability to fight terrorism and that they should stick to “exposing al-Qaida..”
Gen. Michael Hayden told the Council on Foreign Relations today in New York that much of the information contained in a July intelligence briefing came from the interrogation (make that torture) of prisoners kept in secret CIA facilities around the world.
Although the news media have talked about these facilitites since 2005, for the head of the CIA to talk about them is a horse of another color.
Hayden basically defended…well, he defended, the so-called rendition program, where suspected terrorists are taken to CIA compounds where they are asked questions about their activities—or that’s what the CIA head would like everyone to think.
In a really low blow, Hayden, who someday may have to face charges of human rights abuses himself for allowing this policy to continue, says news reports about the program have had a “chilling effect”on our ability to gather information about terrorism.
Right.
