With almost 100 of his relatives campaigning for him around Iowa, the GOP’s favorite Mormon, Mitt Romney, has won the meaningless and very low turnout Iowa straw poll.

And, to prove just how meaningless this bunch of crap is–coming in second was former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee!!!  Who? I said, Mike Huckabee. Sounds like a cool brunch place doesn’t it?  “Hey, dude….let’s grab some french toast and a latte at Huckabee’s”

Perhaps The Incredible Huck came in second because Rudy Giuliana, John McCain and Fred Thompson were no shows?  You think!

So, is America ready for a Mormon president or a commander-in-chief who reminds  you of a bad Florida restuarant chain??

My guess is, Romney’s glow will fade when confronted by real candidates faster than his make-up during a sand storm.

So where were the others???? Rudy was probably trying to convince his own daughter to vote for him–she’s said she supports Sen. Barack Obama—-nice!  McCain needed the Iowa straw poll like he needs another five years in a Vietnamese POW camp. And, Fred Thompson??? Probably figures summer is re-run season so might as well sit it out until the fall premiers.
